Hyphessobrycons [1] ( lat. Hyphessobrycon ) on trooppisen makean veden rauskueväkalojen suku characinformes - lahkon characin -perheestä .
Pienet kalat, koot 2-3 - 6-7 cm [2] . Suurin osa on kirkkaanvärisiä. Ne elävät Etelä- ja Keski- Amerikan vesistöissä [2] . Monet lajit ovat suosittuja akvaariokaloja , joita pidetään usein eläintarhoissa , julkisissa ja harrastusakvaarioissa ympäri maailmaa.
