Nekhton oli Gvidno ap Kaurdara ap Garbonian ap Dumnagual vanhan poika . Siten hän oli hänen edeltäjänsä, Constantine , neljäs serkku. Jotkut historioitsijat tunnistavat Nekhtonin Alt-Kluitskysta piktin kuninkaan Nekhton II :n kanssa . Vuonna 621 häntä seurasi hänen toinen poikansa Beli .
