Thiotricha (lat.) on koiperhosten suku, joka kuuluu Moth - lovisiipisten ( Gelechiidae ) heimoon

Kuvaus
Pienet koin muotoiset perhoset (siipien kärkiväli noin 1 cm). Morfologisesti monimuotoinen siipien kuvioiltaan ja sukuelinten rakenteeltaan. Suku määräytyy seuraavien ominaisuuksien yhdistelmällä: uroksilla, joilla on usein pitkät antenniväreet ja muuttuneet häpykämmenet, joilla on pitkät, laajenevat karvat tupsut selän pinnalla, karvamaisten suomujen esiintyminen etusiipien vatsapinnalla ja Rs4-laskimon puuttuminen; sääriluun takakannus, joka on enintään 2/3 tarsomeeri I pituudesta, ydinytimet alkeelliset; Leuan kämmenet 4-segmentoidut, ocellia puuttuu; labiaaliset kämmenet ovat taipuneet taaksepäin. Etusiipi on kapea [1] .

Thiotricha tenuis
Systematiikka
Se sisältää eri lähteiden mukaan noin 100 lajia. Englantilainen entomologi Edward Meyrick (1854-1938) tunnisti suvun ensimmäisen kerran vuonna 1885 [2] . Vuodesta 2013 lähtien se on sisällytetty erilliseen Thiotricinae -alaheimoon . Aikaisemmin sukua pidettiin osana eri alaheimoja: Aristoteliinae, Pexicopiinae, Dichomeridinae tai Gelechiinae [1] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] [9] [10] [11] .
Vuonna 2009 Ponomarenko synonyymi Thiotrichan sanalle Polyhymno ilman kommentteja . Vuonna 2013 Karsholt ym. (2013) suorittivat Polyhymno longistrigella -tyyppilajin molekyyli- ja morfologisen analyysin vertaamalla sitä Thiotrichaan ja päättelivät, että nämä ovat erilaisia päteviä suvuja. Lisäksi niiden biologia eroaa: Polyhymno -toukat ovat lehtikasveja , kun taas Thiotricha -toukkien tiedetään muodostavan kannettavan kotelon ja ruokkivan kukkia ja siemeniä [9] .
