Mel Odom on yhdysvaltalainen tieteis- ja fantasiakirjailija . Syntynyt vuonna 1957 Kaliforniassa, mutta muutti pian Oklahomaan vanhempiensa kanssa. Lapsena hän piti klassisista teoksista (" Robinson Crusoe ", " Peter Pan " jne.) ja sarjakuvista.
Hän pitää matkustamisesta, elokuvien katselusta, puutarhanhoidosta ja itseopiskelusta. Yli 140 kirjan kirjoittaja; viiden lapsen (neljä poikaa ja tytär) isä.
